Italian Food in Singapore List

I would like to start a new page in the blog about Italian food in Singapore.  Singapore has large following of Italian foodies.

This blog page will be updated as I sample and taste these restaurants in Singapore.

Mad for Garlic in Suntec City.

They are tucked away in a quiet corner of Suntec City Convention Centre Level 2. The pizza crust is thin. I wish it is more crispy. The crust gets a little soggy after a while due to the cream spiciness.

Staying in Suntec City, we decide to try another Italian restaurant , Peperoni Pizzeria that is popular with kids because they have a huge 55cm pizza.  Of course, I did not order that despite that you can have half and half toppings. We ordered two 12 inch pizza and a pasta to have a mixture of taste.

Th pizza is paper thin and it is delicious. The pasta has a well balance of tomato and bacon. I wish they would sprinkle some deep fried bacon bits.

I was recommended to this restaurant along Portsdown Road.
Pietrasanta.
It is part of the Wessex village eateries.

Parking is not easy here. You have to park a distance and risk being fine by the traffic police. When I was there, the car park lots in front of the restaurant is already taken. one side of the restaurant is a bus stop. I was surprised that public buses actually comes to this exclusive estate.

The menu is simple with a ample selection of Italian dishes. I thought the variety of pasta is limited.

Decided to order Pietrasanta Carpaccio. It is not the typical carpaccio that I a familiar with.  But it tasted fantastic.

Th bread is fresh and warm.

Spaghetti ai Frutti di Mare looks not very presentable but it tastes balanced with a good toss of olive oil and well cooked spaghetti. They are quite generous with the seafood portion.

There is a little cafe in Tiong Bharu plaza called Tinto the services no frills pizza and spaghetti. This is a smoked chicken spaghetti. It has pineapples, chucks of smoked chicken, bits of oyster mushroom which is deep fried.

Chapter 55 is at Tiong bharu.

It is quite a nice outlet.
Half eaten portion of seafood Alfredo linguine.

Alfredo linguine

the seafood risotto is moist and flavorful. I wish there is more prawns and the calms are larger for both the dishes. I think clams maybe overcooked.
