Bukit Timah Hill Climb
It has been a while that this hill is climbed. I recall it is almost 6 years ago. Yes, I do visit there for small walks but did not summit the hill.
This is the picture of the old Bukit Timah hill. Looks like more trees than today.
I have reached the Summit after 30 minutes of walk. The hill is 163 metres above sea level.
I am not sure if this piece of rock is originally from the hill.
There is a couple of radio towers on each side of the pavilion. It is quite well fenced up to prevent monkeys to destroy the wires.
There is a wooden path that leads down the hill. I wonder where it leads to...
I decided to talk the same path that I came up. There is a cement line in the middle of the road. I think it serves to divide the traffic. Or at least provide some traction when the road is wet and slippery.
The road winds down gently down the hill in this section. The steep climb is at the foot of the hill.
There are different paths you can take.
There is a faster way to reach the Summit via the stairs.
The steps of the stair can be steep and slippery. I tried it before. It is quicker but more tiring then walking up the slope. now they have repaired the stairs with rope sides to help you climb up safer. It is also wider now. There two type of steps. The thinner and thicker step. It is easier but you need to take more steps.
The road continues to slide down gently.
A picture of the forest mid way down the hill. I love these tall trees reaching up to the sky.
I scroll down the hill. It is so easy to walk on the way down.
Looking upwards, you can see the sky is partially covered by these tall trees.
On the mid way, there is a rest point.
At these point, one can observe the different types of trees.
There are now rails at the side of the hill as the declined is getting steeper. This serves as a protection and reminder for hikers.
there are vines on the tall tree reaching from the top.

One can see many different of fungi and flora in the forest. Nature is amazing. I hope humans can learn to preserve these natural beauties.
