Gardens by The Bay - Rose Festival
I was wondering what annual membership should I sign up after my last SEA aquarium expires in last month. It is not an easy question to answer due to limited budget.
We have a family meeting and my son suggested a couple of options which one of it is Gardens by the Bay.
We have not been to the Gardens by the Bay for several years. I thought it is a nice temperate glass house with plants and flowers. Nice to walk inside to get away from the heat.
I had an impression it is expensive due to the entrance fees.
I google and chance upon the following promotion :-
Gardens By The Bay
I started the day earlier to get to the final day of the Rose Festival. The festival has been on going since May.
This is the entrance to the Flower Dome. the pillars are pasted with Rose Romance posters.
Inside the flower dome, the rose romance exhibition can be found at the lower deck.
The entrance greets the visitors with a fairy like wall theme with roses lined next to the window props.
Looking downwards towards the exhibition area, one can admire the lush greenery with rose displays.
there is a display of roses on the pedestal. There are a several of colors.
Walking towards the rose exhibition, one will pass the pollen section. There is a variety of flowers including a plant of roses. The rose plant are quite tall. it is not the typical height you find in the flower shops.
A bed of roses will greet you once you arrive at the exhibition. There is a well cured of rose gardens from various species.
The Greek statutes are surrounded by roses. It is a fairy land scene from a book.
A close up. There are garlands of roses adorning the statutes.
There are yellow and pink roses on the bed. I wonder how many pots do they take to make this scene.
More varsities of roses surround the area.
More statutes greet the visitor. Angels on the rose bed. looks very romantic.
A ruin wall depicts with tall trees and rose garden.
The pavement is not made of rocks but a rubber mat. One cannot tell till step on it. It is an illuration
I have not seen a tall rose plant in Singapore. Most of it are in cooler climates.
There are castle towers in the background.
It appears that the roses are growing from a bare rose branch. In a cool environment roses will thrive.
A wall of roses. how i wish most buildings will be able to have flowers on the wall to cool the concrete.
One can see the number of roses across the walls
Crowds are starting to stream in to capture the moments.
