OCBC Sky Walk - Evening Scroll with National Day Fireworks preview
OCBC Skywalk is an iconic signature of the gardens by the bay.
It is popular with all. It costs about SGD$5 for Singapore residents to take a walk.
It is about 8 stories high. It is quite an interesting design. The distance of the walk is about 300 metres. It is suspended across three tree structures using steel cables and meshes. I love the vertical wall garden that surrounds the concrete trees.
Queues are long during the evening. It is humid and today does not much breeze to keep the humidity away. Each queue is about 30 mins waiting time.
Once you get up to the top of the skywalk, this is the view. Fantastic.....

There are several suspending steel cables connecting to the bridge.
More suspension cables. beautiful view of marina bay sands during the sun set. There is a lot of people hanging around the entrance of the sky walk taking photos and admiring the views.
From a distance , one can see the singapore flyer and the flower dome in the distance. it is almost a cloudness day. I wonder how it will look like when it is about to rain.
YOu are almost at the eye level of these super tree structures.
As the sun sets, the temperature gets cooler. The sky starts to dim with shades of orange in the distance.
The sky walk curves around the tree super structure.
the walk way is covered with a rubber mat. I wonder how it will manage the winds. The floor feels quite bouncy due to the steel wire mesh floor.
