This is one of my regular stops in Gelang Petah for breakfast - Kim Tong coffee shop.
Since it is a month before Chinese New Year, there is CNY cookies are now sold. The prices are not cheap as compared to Singapore. The quality may be better. The verdict is out there.
I ordered a big meat bao.
yummy meat...
The stall sell nasi lemak and noodles. We opt for nasi lemak. Just fried egg and chill.
since it is a dim sum place, we ordered a plate of chicken feet.
The interior of a coffee shop.
For lunch, we venture into Bukit Indah.
There is a roast chicken, duck, pork and char siew shop call Kang Bee Hoon.
Since it is a weekday in March 2019, I have time to explore other areas for lunch.
I wanted to try Bak Ku Teh in Bukit Indah. It is a corner shop. There is a couple of similar shops in the area. This is the most crowded. So I wanted to try.
Prices of the Bak Ku Teh. It is not cheap in local standards.
Ordered a portion for 2 with liver and kidney. The soup is little but peppery. Lack of herbs taste. Generous serving of mushrooms.
Added a bowl of fried fritters.
Wanted to try another place in Gelang Petah for seafood. This time is to bring it back home.
It is further down the road. Tian Lai Restaurant.
Outside non air con area. It is quiet during lunch. It is pretty warm.
Cashier counter. They have an air con area. most of the guests are inside there.

I heard about the big Bao in Gelang Patah. I manage to track down this kopi shop that sells Dim Sum in modest price. Wee Hoi kopi Tham and pau. there is another kopi shop just a shop away. It appears that the other shop has a higher traffic. I am not sure why. Perhaps, I should try it next time.
