Marriot Manila, Philippines
I have flying in and out of Manila for more than 20 years. There is no SPG hotels till Marriott bought SPG.
Across the Terminal 3 airport is the Resort Worlds. There are several hotels in the compound. There is a Marriott and Sheraton. The Sheraton is newer than Marriott but smaller. I chose the Marriott in this trip.
The hotel is huge. It is a stone throw from the Terminal 3. I have to walk up the sky bridge and cross a couple of blocks to reach the hotel.
I think not realise that the hotel has several wings. I am in the west wing.
The room is large but overlooking another block. I did not get the view of the golf course.
The layout is spacious with a huge bathroom with a tub.
The executive lounge is on the second floor. It overlooks the Air Force public golf course.
The lounge is huge with lots sitting capacity.
The choice of alcohol is impressive. Free flow during the happy hours.
The selection of hot food is limited but better in some Marriott lounges.
Choices of red wine. Canyon road - merlot and Grant Burke - Cabernet sauvignon.
The hot meal is a burger. I added a mango tart.
The burger is nice. the tart lacks flavour.
Breakfast is at the Marriott cafe. It is on a different wing.
I requested for a cuppacino which came with a nice logo o the Marriott.
This is the lobby area of west wing.
I tried this local Philippine restaurant. This is nice.
There are many similarities of the food between Chinese and Philippine. This is a version of the raw fish salad. There are chucks of raw fish.
the exterior of the Marriott hotel.
there are many churches in manila. this is one of them outside the hotel.

I tried both bottles. It is surprising better than most of the other SPG or Marriott lounges.
I think I prefer the south Australian wine.
