what is it for the telco stocks?
Surprising Singtel performed worst than Starhub in this quarter.
Starhub is pretty flat in September despite some temporarily jumps. There is lack of follow through actions. Volume is very low compared to previous months. I wonder if it will even be listed in 2020.
The key challenge is the dividend. If it maintains to be above 5%, then, we will see it to be going up.
DO I see it falling further? The next quarter results shall be critical but I doubt it will be bad given that there is a one off divestment event. The expected payout is in November.
Singtel has fallen quite a bit in this quarter. Looks like in the over sold region. Next quarter results shall be challenging as I do not see any major catalysts. The next dividend payout is in December. It could be window dressing to low in this quarter. Will it go lower like the last year direction where it touches 2.8? It is a possibility if Singtel does not announce any interesting divestment of their portfolios.
